Home Clearing

The relocation or passing of a loved one can leave behind a house full of memories and treasures. It is often difficult to sort through the belongings of a loved one while dealing with making a transition and fulfilling existing responsibilities. The Messless team wants to assist you to help relieve the stress related to cleaning the household.

What is our process?

Step 1: Assignment of a personal consultant: A Messless personal consultant will be your primary contact person throughout the entire process. Your personal consultant will work with you to make decisions about the final destination of the contents located within the home. Decisions will be made to determine which items will be purged, packed, shipped, or those to remain in the home. The home can then be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, upon your request, following the purging of items. An implementable plan of action will be developed based on the information obtained from this consultation.

Step 2: Implementation of the action plan: The caring Messless team will implement the action plan that was created in Step 1.

Step 3: Creation of a maintenance plan, if needed: Would you like the Messless team to maintain the home while it is listed“For Sale” or “For Rent”? Frequent traffic in the home from realtors, potential clients, and possible service workers can leave the home un-tidy. We are able to spot-clean and wipe surface areas of the home weekly or bi-weekly to maintain a positive appearance through this process.

Hello, I am Jonathan Baliff and in January 2010, my mother Elayne suffered a number health setbacks that forced our family to quickly move her into an assisted living facility. In order to pay for her care, my twin sister and I had to sell Mom’s house where we grew up and Mom lived for over 40 years. This situation was complicated by Mom living in Richmond and all of us living in New York. We desperately needed someone to handle the purging, donation, and shipping of home contents while we focused on Mom’s care. That’s where Alisha came to our aid. With very little notice, she was able to pack up Mom’s financial, historical, and personal files, which were never really correctly organized even when Mom was healthy. Alisha then tackled the house’s assets including a very nasty clean-up of an outdoor shed that had not been opened in 17 years.

All-in-All, Mom’s house was sold in one month with all her personal belongings being moved within days. The Baliffs are truly blessed to have met Alisha and would highly recommend her services to anyone who asks. The cost was minimal for the value added!
